Spicy Pickled Chickpeas Recipe

Ingredients

2 (15.5 ounce) cans of chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 large Hungarian Pepper, thinly sliced and diced, or 1/4 cup Tabasco sauce 

2 tsp. dried dill weed

1 tsp. paprika

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. kosher salt

1 cup water, hot out of the tap

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/2 tsp. sugar

You will also need a 1-quart container with a tight-fitting lid. We used a wide-mouth Ball canning jar.

This recipe has been a favorite in our family for many, many years. It's fast, easy and very delicious! 

Ingredients:
1 pound ground chuck
1/4 cup olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced fine
1 large (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 small (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 cup water
1 Tbs. salt
Optional: 1 tsp. dry chili pepper flakes

Equipment Needed:

1-quart wide mouth Ball jar

Immersion Blender

Ingredients:

2 large eggs (or 4 small)

2 cups (extra light tasting) olive oil or vegetable oil

½ tsp. dry mustard

2 tsp. course Kosher salt

2 pinches sugar

6 tsp. lemon juice

1 Tbs. vinegar

Directions:

1) Crack the eggs into the jar. Add dry mustard, salt, sugar, lemon juice, and vinegar. Pour oil into jar. Let this combination sit long enough for the eggs to settle down and rest on the bottom of the jar completely underneath the oil.
